Joseph (Joey) Inabnet:

Joey has been a working court reporter for more than ten years.  Born in San Antonio, Texas, Joey was raised in the small town of Denver City, TX.  After attending Angelo State University pursuing a Marketing degree, Joey owned a vent hood cleaning business in Dallas, TX for several years.  Answering the call to serve his country, Joey joined the United States Marine Corps.  During his eight years of service, he was stationed in California and Virginia.  Joey did two WESTPAC deployments, both aboard the USS New Orleans, with HMM-268 helicopter squadron.  Those deployments were to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and also to Somalia in response to the Blackhawk Down incident.  Through those deployments, he was able to visit Japan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Bahrain, two of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the Phillipines, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand.  During his service, in addition to numerous service medals, Joey was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal.

Joey was selected for the Marine Corps court reporting program, and transferred to Virginia for training.  After leaving the Marine Corps, Joey stayed in Virginia, and began reporting for a local firm.  During that time, he regularly reported in the Arlington County Circuit Court, including reporting all of the murder trials that happened in Arlington during that time.  The most notable of those trials was the Robin Lovitt trial.

After leaving that firm, Joey worked for a number of firms in the DC area, learning the different styles of those reporting firms.  Finally, Joey decided to take the best of what he had learned from those firms, and put it all together into his own firm.  In doing so, he partnered with Jerry Evans and Carla Rackovan.  In addition to court reporting and managing the firm, Joey is the Immediate Past President of the Greater Washington Shorthand Reporters Association (GWSRA) and currently serves as the Treasurer to ensure he has continued input and influence in the direction of future court reporting.

Joey currently lives in Falls Church, Virginia.

Jerry Evans:

A Native of the Pacific Northwest, he moved to Virginia after leaving active duty with the US Navy, Jerry met Joey shortly after moving to Virginia and, due to their military background, became close friends. Due to Joey's vision of what a court reporting agency should be, he decided to help him build Inabnet Reporting Services into a company that provides exceptional service to our clients and our reporters.

Jerry Evans brings with him over 20 years experience in the US Naval Intelligence field and over 10 years of Business and Financial experience in managing large corporate contracts. Along with being our company's Vice President responsible for the financial integrity of the business, he is also a Director with SBI-Technology, Inc., managing multi-million dollar contracts within the US Intelligence Agencies.

Jerry's previous corporate experience includes: Director of Government Solution for Integrity Business Solution, Inc. managing their Information Assurance contracts; Sr. Program Manger for all Information Assurance and Information Technology contracts within Lockheed Martin Technical Operations and as a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon.  Jerry earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Computer Science from Canterbury University and is also a graduate of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Development, Program Management and Process Improvement (LM21) programs. In 2008, Jerry retired from the US Navy after giving 23 years of honorable service to our country.  Jerry lives with his wife, Katie, and two daughters, Riley and Chloe, in Manassas, Virginia.

Carla O'Meara:

Carla, in addition to being our CFO/Treasurer, works every day with Inabnet Reporting Services as the operations manager.  She is probably the person you will speak to when you call us.  Carla was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Northern Virginia at an early age.  After meeting Joey, Carla began working with Joey helping with his day-to-day court reporting responsibilities.  Carla urged Joey to form his own firm, and thus Inabnet Reporting was created.  Carla has been and still is responsible for attending to the daily activities of taking calls, scheduling reporters, billing clients, paying reporters, and solving operational emergencies that arise when clients forget to schedule court reporters.  Carla lives with her husband, Mike O'Meara, in Manassas, Virginia.
